Biomechanics  (Functional Problems)

An assessment includes details questioning to determine the cause, including your medical history.

Human movement is achieved through a complex and highly coordinated mechanical interaction between bones, muscles, ligaments and joints within the musculoskeletal system. Any injury to, or lesion in, any of the individual elements of the musculoskeletal system will change the mechanical interaction and cause degradation, instability or disability of movement. This is where assessing your biomechanics as a Podiatrist is important to help assist you in a potential diagnosis, treatment and management.

Please note that follow up reviews are often an essential part of your treatment but this is kept to a minimum where possible.  Onward referral to other health professionals is also sometimes needed to provide the best outcome for you or a member of your family.
